STI Sight Seeing Tour Packages around Manali

Tour No. 1 (Manali – Rohtang Pass)

Nehru Kund : (05 km. from Manali) : A spring of cold water named after the Late Prime Minister Sh. Jawahar Lal Nehru. This cold water is good for health.

Kothi : (15 km. from Manali) : A quite but picturesque spot view of the mountains. The site of the bridge provides an interesting historical episode in the early annals of Kullu.

 

Gulaba Camp: (20 km. from Manali): It is a peaceful place. It is a valley of flowers famous for sightseeing, picnic and photograph.

 

Rahla Fall : (27 km. from Manali) : Here the river beas falls down from a height of about 50 meters. Charming place of picnic.

 

Rohtang Pass: (51 km. from Manali): The highest point on the road. It offers limited skiing but ample trekking opportunities at an altitude of 4112 meter. On the highway Keylong to Leh. The pass affords a wide spread panorama of mountain scenery almost directly opposite to the well defined sonepani glacier slightly left the twin peaks of the geypan.

 

Solang Valley: (Optional charges extra): A beautiful picnic spot. Nice meadows surrounded by trees of silver oak and spurs international skiing slopes with a small rope way. Beautiful panorama of snow spread mountains. Also can enjoy horse riding.

 

Tour No. 2 (Manali - Manikaran)

 

Vaishno Temple :( 40 km. from Manali) A small cave and a shrine with can image of Goddess Vishno other temple are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Rama & Krishna.

 

Angora Rabbit Farm: (45 km. from Manali)

Where the different varieties of Angora shawls are available on reasonable rates.

Manikaran: (86 km. from Manali) Famous for its hot water springs Hot water spring on the river Parvati trace their origin to a legend. The water is so hot that Dal & Rice etc. can be cooked. A well known pilgrimage place on account of ancient Hindu temples and a Gurudwara According to a legend Manikaran is also associated with Lord Shiva & his divine Consort Parvati who lost a recovered her ear ring here.

Jagatsukh Temple: (06 km. from Manali) Famous Shiva Temple Shikhara style and interesting old temple of Gaytri Devi & Sharvali created by Pandvas.

 

Naggar Castle: (18 km. from Manali) It is a old capital of Kullu. The Castle was built by Raja Bhosaal. Now under HPTDC. The Castle converted to a Hotel. It is ideal place for tourist and surrounding scenery is very charming.

 

Roerich Art Gallery: (20 km. from Manali) In Naggar art gallery, the Roerich Museum, which houses a collection of the painting of the Russian Artist Nicholas Roerich.

 

Dagpo Shedrupling Monastery Kais: (Optional extra, 11km from Nagger)This monastery is located in such a beautiful place surrounded by beautiful snow covered peaks inaugurated by his Holiness Dalai lama in May, 2005.

 

Tour No. 4 (Manali - Local)

 

Hadimba Temple: Built in 1550 A.D. in a forest grove. Hadimba Devi’s temple is four tiered with a Pagoda shaped roof and a front door way covered with figures ands symbols.

 

Manu Maharishi Temple: Situated in old Manali village of distance of 2 km from the taxi stand. This is the only Temple Manu who is the great Hindu Law giver. It is approachable by road.

 

Tibetan Monastery & Van Vihar : A small Monastery is a peaceful clerring has image of the Buddha & some exquisite tangkhas. Famous for carpet weaving & Tibetan handicrafts.

 

Vashisth Temple: A fair size village on the left bank of Beas, Renowned for its hot sulphur water spring and temple of Vashisth Rishi & Lord Rama. Also can view, the confluence of Beas and Manalsu River.

Dyar Jeep safari: (65 Km. from Manali)  Dyar village with an ancient Pagoda style temple of Lord Trijugi Narayan; got its name because of the Deodar trees.

 

 

STI Day Hikes around Manali

 

1)Manali - Jogini Falls - 1 Day

Best Season: April to November

The road leads out of Manali town and after crossing the main bridge over the River Beas we walk uphill towards the Vashisht village 3 Kms away on a well defined path. After walking through the ancient village with some impressive traditional architecture, we pass the temple and the hot sulphur springs and baths to follow a path with a slight incline. It takes about 1 hour to reach these magnificent falls. Enjoy an energizing dip under these cascading falls and have your packed lunch while admiring the towering snow clad mountains all around. We return the same way to Vashisht and Manali by evening.

 

2)Manali - Lamadugh Meadows - 1 Day

Best Season: April to November

Leaving the metalled road from the Dhungri village we emerge on to a path that leads steadily uphill through verdant forests and green meadows. On the way you also get fabulous views of the mountain peaks all around and Manali town far below. After a pleasant three-hour walk through forests of Oak, Fir and Deodar, we reach the beautiful green meadows of Lamadugh strewn with wild blue primroses. It is also a popular grazing ground for local shepherds. From here you get stunning views of Indrasen, Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, and other famous peaks in the Manali region. We return by evening after having enjoyed one of the most leisurely trails in the upper Beas valley.

 

3)Manali - Solang Valley -Patalsu Base - 1 Day

Best Season: April - June / September to End October

This leisurely trek starts from the Old Manali village and ends at the picturesque Solang Valley. We pass the villages of Shanag, Goshal and Burua high above the River Beas before reaching the green hill slopes and meadows of Solang Nullah. Solang Nullah offers you enchanting views of some of the more popular snow clad mountain peaks among mountaineers. The closest peak here is the Patalsu peak towering above the ancient Solang village . We begin our 2 ½ hour trek up to the peak 3963 m from where you get panoramic views of Hanuman Tibba and the Seven Sister peaks. We return by early evening to Solang Valley take surface transportation to Manali (Bus / Jeep).

 

4)Manali - Koshla -Tree line - 1 Day - 2300m / 7590ft

Best Season: April - June / September to End October

This is an ancient village high up in the hills north of Manali town. The road winds up to this village from where you get fantastic views of Old Manali village across the River Beas. We pass a couple of gurgling mountain streams as we head higher above the tree line. The path goes through forests of Pine, Fir and deodar skirting a few apple orchards till it ends on a small, meadow where we have lunch and enjoy the panoramic views of the Kali Heini pass and its snow clad slopes shining brilliantly in the sun right across the valley. To the north you can see the craggy snow slopes below the Rohtang Pass. Spend a relaxed day experiencing the quiet solitude and peace of the mountains before returning to Manali by evening.
